Here goes the story and pics of my ink experience at Body Graphics Tattoo. It's been posted in my fave communities as well as my personal lj - enjoy =)|
First the story:
Earlier this week, on Tuesday, I stopped by Body Graphics with Holli, Jim, and Yazzie - I wanted to get my flames priced - first though, I had gone to Millennium Tattoo on South Street - since the guy who touched up my tribal dragon on my shoulder blade did such a great job, I said - what the heck? But when I went, it was closed - so I decided to hit up where Holli and Yazzie's boyfriend had previous work done. I got it priced, $130 - I was surprized because it had color and all (naturally expecting them to be atleast $300), but I said cool - and knew I'd be coming in on Saturday to get them worked on.
So after going to the bank and withdrawing $200, I made my way down town yesterday at around 1pm. After waiting a while, I met up with Yazzie - and we went to the studio. Alex, my ex-boyfriend and trusted camera man, and our good friend Rasheed came by about half an hour later (after the out line was already done, and he already started the color...
The whole experience itself was amazing. Painful as it was - I look at it now, today and think - wow - I am strong. Some people would've cried - or kept taking breaks...The only time I did was because my legs were getting numb, and the artist told me to - so i wouldn't "Fall off the stool". He was funny and very sweet. The tips of my flames closest to my sides were funny - cause he had to rest his tattooing hand on my side in order to get it, and it tickled so bad, so he was being extra careful. He was awesome honestly, that's why I decided I would go back to him for future work. Besides, he told me in four weeks to come in for my free touch up.
I'm so mad though that I was a complete idiot and forgot his name. How dumb could i possibly be? I did make sure that in the midst of the excitment and adrenaline rush, that I tipped him well. $130 plus, $70 for him. He very well deserved that because I love how he made sure he lined it up to my previous center back piece although the wings weren't even. I told him it wasn't really supposed to be because of how it was drawn, but regardless, he was like, "Well, it's my job to make you look good, right?" I felt so incredibly comfortable with him tattooing me. That was the most important part. He was so nice to everyone that was there to "support me". I don't know, I just felt this experience was the best I've ever had.
So in four weeks, I get to go back, and this make sure to take down his name and let him know how I felt and that I want him to do more work on me. Anyway, here go the pictures, let me know what you guys think! Dial-up beware, it's a lot of pics =)
